I have several objectives as a collector of White Sox memorabilia and autographs. I break them into two categories: realistic and unrealistic. Let me start with the realistic objectives.
  • An autograph from every player and manager to wear a White Sox uniform since I became a fan of the team. When at all possible, it should be on a White Sox item. My White Sox fandom began in 1991, so as of this writing this covers 18 years of White Sox. In particular, members of the 1993, 1994, 2000, 2005, and 2008 teams.
  • A signed official (either AL or MLB) baseball from every notable Sox player during my fandom. Notable is a pretty subjective term, but I know them when I see them. Roberto Hernandez? Notable. Jamie Burke? Not notable.
  • As many autographs of my all-time favorite Sox players as I can get my hands on. My favorites are as follows: Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura, Steve Sax, Tim Raines, Mark Buehrle, Joe Crede, Jack McDowell, John Danks, & Bo Jackson.
  • A signed official (either AL or MLB) baseball from every modern Sox Hall of Famer.

Now for the not so realistic:

  • An autograph from every White Sox all-star.
  • An autograph from every White Sox Hall of Famer.
  • An autograph from every White Sox award winner.
  • An autograph from every member of the 1959 White Sox.
  • Shoeless Joe Jackson's autograph
