I’ve become kind of obsessed with getting rookie refractors signed. BM Authentics just had a Garrett Crochet signing. The price was a bit high, so I only sent in one item. His rookie refractor! It turned out pretty well.

Aaron Rowand Private Signing
I participated in another Aaron Rowand signing. I know I just partook in one a couple of months ago, but this one was even cheaper. So I couldn’t resist! I got a few more rookies done, as well as a few other cool cards. I really like how the 2005 Topps Gold turned out.
New Multi-Signed Cards
I’ve recently become addicted to collecting multi-signed cards. I just sent a couple of cards off to a Nomar Garciaparra signing. I obviously have no need for Nomar in my collection. But he shares some cool cards with Paul Konerko, so I felt compelled to get them done. So I’m really excited with these pickups! These are also from the big lot I purchased recently. I’ll dump the rest of the cards from the lot in one big post.
New Cease, Dunning, & Kopech Cards
I also picked up two autographs cards each from young pitchers Dylan Cease, Dane Dunning, and Michael Kopech. I still think Kopech is going to be a star, as soon as next year. I also think Cease will be an excellent #3 starter… maybe even a good #2. Dunning will probably have a decent career, but I wasn’t all that upset about losing him. Lets hope Lance Lynn helps us get a ring this year!
9 New Jose Contreras Cards
Also in included in the lot I recently purchased were these 9 Jose Contreras cards. 1 rookie and 8 Sox cards. I don’t need any of these, but I’m still very happy to add them! You can never have too many autographs from one of the stars of the 2005 Postseason!
New Abreu, Jimenez, McCann, Moncada Cards
These also came from that lot I picked up. I really love the 2017 Stadium Club cards. I might try to complete that team set.
9 New Carlos Rodon Cards
In honor of his first All-Star game, here are the 9 new Carlos Rodons I picked up as part of the bountiful lot I’ve been posting. Let’s hope he gets to pitch in the game (either Rodon or Lynn should be starting, grrr) and he mows down every batter he sees.
4 New Lucas Giolitos
Continuing with my haul from a lot I just purchased, here are 4 Giolitos that I’m adding to the collection. Giolito is having a bit of an off year, but I’m confident he’ll have a strong second half and continue that into the postseason.
Some New Tim Anderson Autographed Cards
First off, let me say how happy I am that Tim Anderson has been named to the All-Star team. It’s hard to believe this is his first All-Star game. Somehow he was snubbed in 2019 when he won the batting title, and then there was no All-Star game last year when he almost certainly would have made it.
In honor of his… honor, here are 5 new Tim Anderson cards I picked up recently as part of a pretty large, pretty cool lot. I’ll be posting that haul over the next few posts.
Andrew Vaughn Mini Helmet
I sent in 4 cards to the Sidsgraphs Andrew Vaughn private signing, but I also picked up a mini helmet. Mini helmets are one of my favorite things to collect, so I’m making a concerted effort to get all of the key Sox guys on them. I’m happy to cross Vaughn off of the list, though I’m not thrilled with the white pen they have started using. I much preferred the silver they used to use.
