Minnie Minoso deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Joe Posnanski of the Athletic recently did a series on the 100 most deserving people not in the Hall of Fame, and Minnie was #1 on that list. He was a great player, a great man, and the Hall of Fame is a joke for not having him.
I had the pleasure of meeting Minnie several times, and he was a class act. Most of the autographs at the link below were obtained in person.

Rudy York & Ray Scarborough Autographs
Rudy York and Ray Scarborough were among the last five White Sox All-Stars I needed to complete my collection. I can now cross them off the list, courtesy of Mill Creek Sports.

York was a 7x All-Star, though only his 1947 appearance came in a Sox uniform. Ray Scarborough made his only All-Star appearance in 1950.
I only need 3 more guys for this project. Jim Wilson will be somewhat affordable. Rip Radcliff and Al Simmons will be quite expensive.
Luke Appling Perez-Steele Postcard
I got a good price on a PSA authenticated Luke Appling Perez-Steele postcard. I don’t have nearly enough Appling items in my collection, so I jumped on it!

Vern Kennedy Index Card
I was able to cross another name off my All-Time All-Star wantlist. Vern Kennedy made the All-Star team in 1936 and 1938, though only the first was as a member of the Sox.

Five former All-Stars are left before I complete the project. A couple of these are going to be expensive, so it may be a while!
Rip Radcliff (1936)
Ray Scarborough (1950)
Al Simmons (1933-35)
Jim Wilson (1956)
Rudy York (1948)
Player Spotlight: Billy Pierce
I’ve just added a Player Spotlight page for my all-time favorite White Sox pitcher, Billy Pierce. He has been one of my favorite players to collect over the years, and to date I have 45 autographs from Mr. Pierce.
His page can be found HERE.
Ken Griffey Jr. Hall of Fame Baseball
I’ve only just started my HOF baseball project, but it will be difficult to top this. I may not like Ken Griffey Jr, but even I can’t deny he was an amazing player. He is also one of those players that has a certain aura about him, the kind that epitomizes the Hall of Fame.

Jordan Danks Private Signing Results
Somebody on SCN recently held a very reasonably priced Jordan Danks private signing. While I didn’t NEED anything signed, I couldn’t resist sending in 10 cards. I had planned on sending more, but funds were a bit tight. So I picked the 10 best cards that I didn’t already have signed and sent them in. I’m very happy with the results!
Just Added: All-Time Upper Deck Checklist
I am, or should I say I was, a very big fan of Upper Deck cards. They were so much nicer than plain old Topps/Donruss/Fleer. They almost had a classy feel to them. To this day, the 1993 Upper Deck set is my favorite baseball card set of all time.
I’ve put together a page showcasing every White Sox base card that Upper Deck ever made… all 531 of them! You can view that page HERE.
The only other card set I’m likely to do this for is Allen & Ginter. There will be many more checklists coming, but it is too time consuming scanning images of every single card. Most checklists will have one sample image, along with the checklist itself.
