Dave Lemonds had a cup of coffee with the Cubs in 1969, and a solid season for the White Sox in 1972. Unfortunately, that was it for his big league career, as he hurt his arm in winter ball in Puerto Rico after the 1972 season. It’s a damn shame, as he was quite good in his short time in the bigs, and was only 23 when his career ended. Mr. Lemonds was nice enough to sign a couple of cards for me, which is much appreciated!
